Originally, the network address translation in AT method was used by IT administrators to prevent the need to designate a new address to every host when a network was moved or when the upstream. Internet Service Provider was replaced but could not direct the network’s address space. Today, Nat is an essential and popular tool preserving global address space and light of IPV 4 addressed exhaustion. In this chapter, how Nat effects traffic and how to configure manual and automatic Nat is covered.
